  • 2 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s – Spicy Honey Sauce
  • 1 tsp The Spice House – Mesquite Maple Seasoning
  • 1 tsp The Spice House Spanish Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp The Spice House Garlic Powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp sliced green onions (optional)
  • 1tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. pat dry your chicken thighs with a paper towel
  3. season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and mesquite maple seasoning
  4. in a large oven safe skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil on medium high heat and add in your chicken thighs seasoned side down – cook for 7 minutes
  5. while chicken is cooking season the unseasoned side with the same spices. once first side has cooked for 7 minutes, flip and cook the other side for another 7 minutes
  6. meanwhile prepare sauce. in a medium sauce pot on medium heat melt butter and add in garlic. cook for 1 -2 minutes
  7. add in spicy honey sauce, smoked paprika and season with salt and pepper. stir well until everything is combined and slightly bubbling
  8. remove sauce from heat and pour into pan with chicken thighs
  9. place pan with chicken thighs and sauce into the preheated oven and cook for 15 – 20 minutes
  10. halfway into cook time baste chicken with sauce from pan
  11. serve immediately over rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds (optional) Enjoy!

chicken should be served with an internal temperature of 165
