Description
Carrots are a great introduction food for your little one. Making your own puree is not only a simple, fun and fresh way to prepare food for your baby, it is also an incredibly cost effective way to stock up on baby purees. A bunch of carrots from the local farmers market costs about $4 and will stretch to approximately 12 servings of carrot puree. Purees can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or portion the puree into freezer safe jars. Bonus tip – I use the carrot tops for a carrot top and walnut pesto so you’re really getting a lot of bang for your buck with a bunch of carrots and meals for the whole family!
