homemade dill pickles

Ingredients

- 2–3 medium kirby cucumbers
- 3 garlic cloves
- 5–6 sprigs of fresh dill
- 1 tbsp pickling spice
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 wide mouth mason jar
Instructions
- bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil
- cut off ends of the cucumber and cut into spears
- smash and peel garlic
- add garlic, dill, pickling spice and cucumber spears to a wide mouth mason jar
- remove boiling liquid from heat and pour over the contents of the mason jar
- let stand with lid off for about 10 minutes
- once cooled add lid and tighten, at this point you can place in the refrigerator
