easy baked dill butter lemon sauce salmon

Are you looking to make a delicious and healthy meal? Look no further than dill butter lemon salmon! This recipe is perfect for anyone who loves seafood and wants a quick and easy meal to make.

Let’s get started…

You start out with one large salmon fillet, skin on or you could also use individual salmon fillets. All you need is a few simple ingredients combined with an easy cooking method and you have a super easy salmon recipe to keep in your weeknight dinner arsenal. Creating your own butter mixture with fresh dill, melted butter and a topping of lemon slices infuses the so much flavor into the fish and creates a very tender salmon. To create the lemon dill butter sauce you could melt butter first or let it come to room temperature. Either way works great.

I always like to line my baking sheet with parchment paper for an easy cleanup. Next I place skin-on salmon on the baking sheet salmon skin side down. This is my favorite way to get fresh salmon skin nice and crispy. Now you will season fillets with some salt and pepper. Now let’s put together the classic combination of lemon-dill butter.

Whats next…

In a small bowl combine your butter (room temperature or melted) add in some minced garlic, dill sprigs and salt and pepper. Pat dry your salmon or salmon pieces with a paper towel and to the top of the salmon fillet smear on the delicious, savory butter mixture. Now for the best part, I slice up some thin lemon slices and arrange them on top of the salmon. You could hit it with a squeeze of lemon as well.

Cooking salmon depends on the type of salmon you are using. If you are using wild salmon you may want to bake it in the oven for a minute or two less. You are looking at about 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees. You could use a thermometer to get an accurate read on the temperature of the salmon but 12 – 15 minutes seems to always be the sweet spot.

Once your salmon is done, remove from the oven and I love to top with fresh lemon juice and and a little olive oil – 10 /10 you will have the best salmon fillet every time. Its really such an easy recipe that gets a 5 star rating from anyone I make it for – my whole family included.
