Crispy and Delicious Sweet Potato Fries (Whole30 Friendly)

As I write this, I am just starting my 2nd week of my 3rd Whole30 and let me tell you, the craving for something crispy, salty and flavor packed is real. Enter – my new obsession – these crispy, soft in the middle with undeniable flavor – sweet potato fries. To be honest, I cannot believe these are Whole30 compliant – but I assure you they are. There are minimal ingredients, with only a perfect blend of spices to that coat the outside to give you the perfect texture and an epic crunch.

Let’s dive into the recipe, I can’t wait to share this one with you! You will certainly want to save this to your recipe rolodex.

Preheat and Prep First things first, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). While that’s warming up, wash and peel two sweet potatoes. Now, grab your trusty knife and cut those spuds into matchsticks – the kind that will make your fries oh-so-crispy.

Spice It Up In a bowl, toss your sweet potato matchsticks with a generous drizzle of avocado oil. Now, for the flavor party: sprinkle Spanish paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix it all up until each piece is coated with that flavor explosion. It’s like a party for your taste buds!

Bake to Perfection Spread those seasoned sweet potato fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they’re not too crowded; we want each fry to get its crispy moment in the oven. Pop them in for about 25-30 minutes or until they’re golden and crispy. Don’t forget to give them a little flip halfway through!

Pro Tip: Crank up the heat for the last few minutes for that extra crunch.

Dippin’ Magic While the fries are doing their thing in the oven, let’s whip up a dipping sauce that’s going to elevate this snack to a whole new level. In a small bowl, mix together a batch of my  homemade mayo, grated garlic, a pinch of salt, a dash of pepper, a dollop of Dijon mustard, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Taste as you go – the magic is in finding that perfect balance.

Serve and Enjoy Once your crispy sweet potato fries are out of the oven, it’s showtime. Pile them high on a plate, and don’t forget that dipping sauce. The contrast of the sweet, spicy fries with the creamy, zesty dip is pure perfection.

There you have it – Crispy Sweet Potato Fries that are not only Whole30 compliant but also downright delicious. Share this recipe with your pals, and you’ll be their culinary hero. Happy snacking!
