- 2 medium sized tuna steaks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- heat your cast iron skillet on medium high heat – you want the pan screaming hot!
- pat dry tuna steaks with a paper towel and drizzle with half of the olive oil
- cover the first side of both tunas steaks with sesame seeds
- once pan is hot enough, add in tuna sesame seed side down and cook for 1 -2 minutes (depending on how rare you like your tuna)
- while the first side cooks, drizzle remaining olive oil on the plain side and cover with remaining sesame seeds
- flip and cook second side for an additional 1-2 minutes
- remove from heat and slice
- serve with rice and a drizzle of soy sauce (optional) enjoy!
